These boards come off the same bench as the dining tables — same hand-picked walnut, maple, and cherry, same joinery standards, scaled down to something you can hold. No imported blanks, no bamboo glue-ups. Solid American hardwood, flattened, sanded, and oiled by the person who milled it.

End-grain boards are the butcher-block style: the wood fibers stand upright, so the surface is gentle on knife edges and closes back up after each cut. Edge-grain boards are leaner and lighter — the everyday workhorse that lives on the counter. Both are food-safe, both are built to outlast the knives you use on them.

Care

Make it last decades

A hardwood board is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. Hand wash with warm water and dish soap, stand it on edge to dry, and never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking — heat and standing water are the only two things that can kill it.

Once a month, wipe on food-grade mineral oil and let it drink overnight. When you want the deep, just-finished glow back, follow with board butter — a mineral oil and beeswax blend that seals the surface. Every board ships with a care card, so the routine is on the counter, not in your memory.
